A wonderful girl from MUA RAOK'd me some NYX e/s because she cant make them 'work'. I keep telling her to reach outside her comfort zone but its not working.
Anyways here are the two colors and now I cannot remember their names. :D
And this is my FOTD for today!! Now I am forcing myself to figure out how to do a 'winged liner'. I am assuming I will NEVER learn if I never try right. So last 3 days I have flicked my liner and tried to make sure it look right and even. Today was a failure on the even part. :(

OK I know I havent posted in forever and I havent even done that many tutorials.... But life is totally different in the new house.
We had both TVs in the living room from when we first moved into the house and everyone was happy about it BUT me. Everyone could play two different video games or watch TV on one and video on the other. However, it wasnt working for me and the 2nd TV was on my brand new desk that I got for xmas.
SO while my DH was out - I took it upon myself to move the TV into our bedroom where it belonged. Here comes the problem. MY vanity is now in the bedroom and now my DH never leaves the room but to smoke or eat. And neither happens often or long enough for me to put on my MU let alone do a talking tutorial.
So now fast forward a month - and finally MAYBE my DH will have a job but it will be in SC (3.5hrs away). He will stay there during the work week and come home on the weekends to spend them with us. It will be lonely without him BUT I can get the house back into some sort of order.
We will find out next wk if its a GO or not....
Anyways, a fellow YT buddy is holding a contest and she asked me to participate. Here is her video:
I really like her concept and have already picked out my inspiration picture.
and I practiced a look already to see how it would come out. BUT, man, I really wish I had a GOOD YELLOW EYESHADOW!!!
Ignore the thick liner side cause I was trying to figure that out too today. LOL
Well, I was also tagged today from someone else. I already recorded this today too - but have to edit it before posting on YT.
I love love love this look. I have to admit it and was totally impressed with the ULTA palette. It was such a great deal. I must say that if the palette is ever calling your name it would totally be worth it to get it.
Anyways here is the face chart that I duped.

I love Halloween. Its my favorite holiday! if you wanna call it that.
I have been working on a few ideas for this coming trick-or-treating session.
My oldest son is 15 and one of his friends wants to be the character Harvey Dent/Two-Face played by Aaron Eckhart in The Dark Knight.
So I figured I would share my first installment of images from our trial run this weekend. After sharing these images with a friend about our dilemma with adding more texture to his face, she shared a great link with me: Homemade Scars
Its given my some great ideas. So I have decided that we are going to use Elmers Glue to create a 'skin' for him with texture and depth. I will probably put food coloring in the glue itself and then make homemade blood and such. Should be so much fun.
On this look I used the following:
Applied a dark foundation as a base for the eyeshadow to adhere to and use as a barrier from his skin.
I set the foundation with a medium gray eyeshadow from Sally's Beauty supply, but in the end it wasn't dark enough and I used a Revlon Slate Gray eyeshadow instead.
The teeth were drawn on with a L'Oreal HiP Cream liner in black using a Sonia Kashuk bent liner brush from Target. I filled the teeth in with white clown makeup that can be found at any local drug store or Walmart.
The red areas are actually Wet n Wild lipstick and then drawn over with the liner again.
Here comes the crazy part... He is actually considering shaving HALF his head off. YES OMG!!! I suggested getting a cheap wig from the local Halloween store and just removing half the hair off. And then we will just add the glue and texture afterwards. I will keep you posted. :D
There are a number of Halloween contests around on the internet this month. Some are really simple and do not require any pictures or videos like the one sponsored by MissChevious of Specktra and Youtube. If you haven't checked her out - you really must.
Then there are the video contests. xsparkage from Youtube is promoting a contest by BeautyChoice, they are an online store for mostly hair products and tools. You have to submit your video thru their site by either directly uploading it or referencing a Youtube tutorial.
Also scandalousbeauty is collaborating with billy b Beauty supplies. You have to just recreate one of his looks that are available in his photo gallery. And there are some beautiful looks there but be sure to post your looks on scandalousbeauty's video. Good luck!
Then lastly there is a pic only contest that I thinks really great too. Specktra.net is hosting a Halloween contest using MAC face charts. The contest rules can be found here and a large collection of the face charts are posted on their blog site.
Now I am not sure I will participate in any of these contests but I have made a few attempts at some Halloween looks myself. I wish you guys luck if you decide to participate in any of these contests.
And look out for more looks that are inspired from those face charts.
